People’s Action Groups for Education

PAGE
What does PAGE do?
People’s Action Groups for Education (PAGE) are district-level, volunteer-led citizen groups that work on local education accountability and advocacy. PAGE chapters bring together teachers, parents, students, community leaders, civil society members, and ideally local government representatives to collaborate on education issues in their union councils.
PAGE chapters are not registered organisations. They are community-driven, purpose-built groups, established by PCE Core Members in their districts and sustained by citizens who believe that education promises must be kept.
PAGE chapters are accountability mechanisms. Members gather and communicate their demands to local authorities and monitor whether commitments by government officials, schools, and local authorities translate into real improvements.
Who participates?
PAGE chapters include:
Teachers and school staff
Parents and community members
Students and young people
Local government representatives
District Education Officers
Local civil society actors
There is no application process. PAGE is community-driven and organically formed through PCE’s work with core members at district-level.
