Campaigns

Some fights need a public. PCE's campaigns mobilise communities, youth, and coalition members around a shared demand, from global weeks of action to election-cycle pushes that put education on the ballot.

When education needs to break through, during an election, a global week of action, or a national budget cycle, PCE builds a public for it. Its campaigns run on: international observances like the annual Global Action Week for Education (GAWE), carried by the coalition's citizen-led district chapters (PAGE), its members, and its youth leaders; the annual budget cycles, and the election-year Vote for Education campaigns that press political parties to commit. Together they turn grassroots demand into political pressure, and political pressure into commitments and actions.

Global Action Week for Education

Global Action Week for Education (GAWE) is an annual campaign led by the Global Campaign for Education (GCE), first launched in 2000 and marked worldwide to raise awareness of the right to education and to press for inclusive, equitable schooling. It contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4, the global promise of inclusive and quality education for all by 2030. Each year PCE runs it on a different theme, mobilising its PAGE district chapters, coalition members, youth leaders, and local authorities to turn a global moment into local action.
