GAWE 2018: Vote for Education

Held from 22 to 28 April ahead of the 2018 general elections, PCE's Global Action Week campaign took the theme Vote for Education, running across eighteen districts in all four provinces. It set out to sensitise grassroots communities on the power of their vote and how it could be used to generate demand for education reform, especially for girls. PCE prepared an education manifesto ahead of the campaign, shared it with CSOs and coalition members for endorsement, and disseminated it to all major political parties, while a charter of demands was carried to district government functionaries and local political leaders and passed up to provincial ministers. This week of action anchored the wider Vote for Education campaign 2018.
