In collaboration with Blue Veins, PCE hosted a provincial roundtable in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Education Reforms Agenda: A Commitment of Political Parties in the Upcoming Elections, gathering representatives from across the political spectrum alongside civil society, teachers, youth, and media. Participants included Professor Muhammad Ibrahim (Provincial Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami), Asif Iqbal Daudzai (former Minister and Deputy General Secretary, JUI-F), Shahzia Tehmas (former MPA, PPP), Anwar Zaib (in charge of the PPP KP study circle), Asia Asad (former MPA, PTI), Adil Mehmood (Provincial President, Mazdoor Kisan Party), Sajida Hanif (former MPA, PTI), and Naeema Kishwar (JUI-F).
The discussion took up budget allocation and disbursement mechanisms, the significance of teacher training, the inclusion of minority communities, and the particular challenges of educating girls. It culminated in a call to action: for all political parties to mainstream the education agenda in the upcoming elections and to form a joint Charter of Education to improve the educational landscape.
