Held by PCE with the Centre for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI) and Pakistan Youth Change Advocates (PYCA), in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS), this roundtable on girls' education focused squarely on implementation, specifically the Free and Compulsory Education Act passed by the Punjab Government in 2014. It aimed to address the pressing challenge of the large number of out-of-school children, particularly girls.

Parliamentarians engaged in a constructive dialogue on the barriers to enforcing the Act and committed to implementing it in its true spirit, while civil society representatives demanded that the government take the concrete measures needed to ensure the Act's effective implementation and widen access to education for all children in the region.
