Ms. Fatima specializes in education, health, climate change, urban risks and development, and sustainable development. She works with PCE-SAQE as a Coordinator for MER and Resource Development. She specializes in research, grants, and project management, from project development to implementation and M&E, particularly in education, health, resilient development (disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation), and other areas relating to the SDGs and human rights. She focuses especially on the rights of minority and marginalized groups, religious minorities, transgender individuals, persons with disabilities (PWD), child marriages, and gender-based violence.
Before joining PCE-SAQE, she served with the Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), UNDP, UNICEF, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Ms. Fatima earned her MPhil in Anthropology from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, with the distinction of the Vice Chancellor’s Gold Medal. She also received merit scholarships for both her MPhil and MSc degrees.
She is passionate about driving positive change through research and strategic development initiatives. She firmly believes in the power of data-driven decision-making to address socio-economic challenges and improve the quality of life for marginalized communities and all.
Outside of her professional endeavours, she enjoys reading, sports (squash, table tennis, badminton), and exploring different cultures.
